Soon after starting in the city center it gets real on hiking trail nr. 1.

After passing the seventh station of the pilgrimage hiking trail (Mezzavia 5,5km), you have to pass a short but technical descent, which brings you to the valley “Vallarsa”. There follows a steep ascent. Here you will pass the hiking trail “Alta Via di Laives”, which offers a beautiful view and has difficult, technical passages. After “Alta Via di Laives” you will reach the highest point of the Sky trail, the old and since closed hut “Höggerhof” (1.360m). Thereafter you will run through a beautiful forest, which brings you to a fork in the road that splits the Sky Trail off from the Trail of 51km (15,5km). Here starts the steep descent towards Laives.
