Soon after starting in the city center it gets real on hiking trail nr. 1.

After passing the seventh station of the pilgrimage hiking trail (Mezzavia 5,5km), you have to pass a short but technical descent, which brings you to the valley “Vallarsa”. There follows a steep ascent. Here you will pass the hiking trail “Alta Via di Laives”, which offers a beautiful view and has difficult, technical passages. Thereafter you will run towards Nova Ponente (19km).

Take a glimpse at the Dolomites “Catinaccio” and “Latemar”, before running to Aldino (35,5km) and passing the alpine huts Laab Alm, Neuhütt, Petersberger Leger and Schönrast until reaching the most important pilgrimage site in South Tyrol, Madonna di Pietralba.

From here you will reach Monte S. Pietro (43km), where you start the steep descent towards Laives.
